Getting started is sometimes the hardest part when it comes to writing. Choosing that perfect idea, capturing that perfect image, it all can be a little overwhelming.
One of the things that I like to do is search the internet for pictures that I find myself drawn to.
For example, when I came across the picture shown above I started imaging the story that was behind the picture. What circumstances led to this photo? What could have happened that created this intriguing scene?
Then just go with it! Start writing about that picture!
Start with the image itself. Evaluate it. Describe it. And once you are done doing that…expand on it. Create a beginning. Create an ending.
This my friends…is how some of the best stories have been brought into existence.
